America is has a sandwich shop on every corner.  In San Francisco there were several tasty places to get a good sandwich, both for meat eaters and veggies.  But in Japan, it can be very difficult to find a deli-style sandwich place.  So when we discovered Lina's Sandwiches, we were quite happy!

Lina's Sandwiches has 2 locations in Japan.  One is in Yokohama, located about a minute walk from Nihon Odori Station on MM line  (Exit 1) .  We are often lured out to the shop on sunny weekends (It is located close to the scenic Yamashita Park).  They serve very tasty and freshly made sandwiches.  Some outside seating is also available, so on a nice day, this is quite a fun and pleasant place to enjoy a sandwich.  The shop is surrounded by big glass windows, so plenty of natural light fills the shop. The terrace seating is popular among people with their dogs.

My favorite sandwiches are the Vegetable Sandwich and the Tuna Mayonnaise sandwich (with a mint leaf as an accent)!　Ray's favorite is the Shrimp & Avocado sandwich.

The photo shown here is the Grilled Zucchini & Mixed Herbs Sandwich.  It was not our usual, but was also very tasty!　The bread we selected here is called Pan Pave which is Lina's original bread - it is given 72 hours to rise.

Finally - a fresh and hearty sandwich in Japan.  But don't expect American prices.  The sandwich shown here was ¥880.
